Besides the Gutedel that is so characteristic of this region and has been cultivated in Markgr\u00e4flerland for more than 200 years, the Chardonnay and the traditional varieties of Wei\u00dfburgunder, Grauburgunder and Sp\u00e4tburgunder, Gerd Schindler has gradually extended the estate’s viticulture over the last 20 years. He included, for example, Gew\u00fcrztraminer, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, which originates from the Loire Valley and makes for a light and elegant white wine. The cultivation of Merlot especially proved very successful, as the vineyards of L\u00e4mmlin-Schindler offer perfect conditions for its vines that form the basis for outstanding, full-bodied, strong and fruity red wines. <\/p>\n
If the vines have been pruned well, leaf and fruit ratio as well as soil management prove right, nature plays along and the time of harvest is correct, then in the cellar ‘all’ we need to do is steering it in the right direction.<\/p>\n
